Artist Spotlight: K’Lecor by Jeremy J. King
With sultry pop sounds and operatic soprano notes K’Lecor has holding us down with her music. K’Lecor whose real name is Kayla White has been singing for years. She was born in Chicago and started her journey in music early. As a child and teen she sang with the Chicago Children’s Choir. With that ensemble she would sing behind some of the industries biggest stars like Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, and many others. As a teen she got training in and out of school learning the craft from well-known respected coaches and directors. After high school she attended Georgia State University where she would receive her Bachelors and Masters degree in Music.
She is an artist of many genres, singing songs of opera, pop, and R&B. With her singing and songwriting she has been on many different stages especially in the operatic category. Her music has also generated success with songs like “Hold Me Down”, “Surrender”, and “In the Morning”. These songs and other have gotten her nominations for Grammys and other awards. K’Lecor is a current resident of Houston, Texas but she is constantly requested abroad, letting voice be heard by many. Her latest project is an EP called “L’elu”. This EP was inspired by love and life as she reflects on her past and her hopes the future.
More is to come from K’Lecor. She is now under new management with Price Attractions and is continuing her journey in her lifelong passion, music.
